Ash Barty serves up smiles meeting Amazon Flex delivery partners and delivering Amazon packages

This holiday season, tennis Grand Slam champion Ash Barty helped celebrate Amazon Flex delivery partners in Brisbane with two special events. First, she swapped her racquet for packages and teamed up with a delivery partner to surprise Amazon customers at their doors. Later, she rallied balls on a tennis court at an unforgettable meet and greet with a small group of delivery partners. ‍

Ash Barty delivers smiles to Amazon customers

‍To shine a light on how Amazon Flex delivery partners make deliveries possible during the holidays and throughout the year, the tennis legend became a delivery partner for a day and experienced first-hand the joy of delivering smiles to Amazon customers.

"With a young family keeping me on my toes, I'm often relying on at-home deliveries, especially over the holidays," said Ash. "Getting behind the wheel as an Amazon Flex delivery partner has given me a whole new appreciation for these drivers who help make every day and the holidays special for so many Australian families like mine.”

Brisbane-based Amazon Flex delivery partner Graham Henry, who has been delivering with Amazon Flex since 2021, showed Ash the ropes.

"I started delivering with Amazon Flex because the flexibility allows me to get extra earnings around my family commitments,” said Graham. “I can pick up delivery blocks when it suits me and know exactly what I'll earn upfront. Joining Ash on her deliveries and getting to see her experience firsthand how fulfilling it is was incredible.”

Throughout the day, Amazon customers opened their doors to find the beloved sports icon delivering their packages. "It was good fun to surprise a few customers," said Ash. "It really showed me how much joy these delivery partners bring to people's days, especially during the holiday season."

‍ After finishing her delivery block, Ash headed to a local tennis court, where she joined a group of delivery partners who had won a meet and greet with her. The delivery partners participated in an exclusive tennis session where they got to try to score points on the champion.

One of the winners, Dharmik Patel, said, “The experience was so special, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. Not everyone can say they have hit a ball across the court with Ash Barty!”

Thank you to Ash and to all delivery partners for delivering smiles this holiday season!
