Meet a delivery partner who saved up for his house deposit with Amazon Flex

Glen started delivering with Amazon Flex in Melbourne in 2021 to gain financial independence and buy his first home in North-West Melbourne.

“I’m really thankful for Amazon Flex,” Glen said. “I was telling a mate I needed extra income to help me save more money because it’s difficult to save a house deposit on one wage, and he suggested Amazon Flex.”

“A lot of my mates ask me why I keep doing it.” Glen said. “The one thing I really enjoy about doing it is that even though I’ve lived in Melbourne the majority of my life, there are parts of Melbourne I have never seen before.”

Having reached his goal of buying a home, Glen continues delivering with Amazon Flex to save for additional goals — a backyard renovation and four-legged buddy.

“I know a lot of people these days are looking to earn extra income to save up and buy their own homes. If they know someone like me can work hard and do it, it just might inspire them,” Glen said. “The honest truth is I would still be saving and not living in my own home if it wasn’t for Amazon.”
