Meet a delivery partner who found purpose in retirement with Amazon Flex

After a fulfilling 30-year career in the Army, David sought a meaningful way to stay active during retirement. In 2023, he discovered Amazon Flex in Perth and started delivering three blocks a week.

“I loved it,” David said. “It gave me a sense of purpose and kept my mind sharp and body fit.” When David relocated to Melbourne to be closer to family, he found the ability to schedule blocks in advance helped him balance days with his family and delivering with Amazon Flex.

“I like being able to plan my week ahead, knowing exactly what blocks I've got on and what I'll earn,” said David.

While on the road, David takes pride in every delivery, and his advice to other delivery partners is simple: “I’d recommend Amazon Flex to anyone,” David said. “Just sign up, give it a try and see if it’s right for you. Amazon Flex keeps me occupied now that I’m retired, and I make extra money, which is a plus.”

We love seeing delivery partners like David find flexible earning opportunities to balance family and personal growth.
