At Amazon Flex, we’re always working to help you and the communities you serve stay safe. There are several safety features in the Amazon Flex app you can use when you deliver. For even more safety resources, visit the Learning Portal in the Amazon Flex app or our safety webpage.

‍Customer text: The customer contact option in the Amazon Flex app lets you reach out to customers with delivery questions through an Amazon number, rather than your personal phone number. This helps you get the information you need to make a successful delivery, while keeping your personal phone number private.

‍Dog alerts: A paw print icon in the Amazon Flex app delivery notes tells you there might be a dog at that location based on reports from customers or delivery partners. If you see a paw print icon, you will also find related safety suggestions you can use when you arrive. If a dog is present at a delivery location without a paw print icon, you can easily add one to help alert fellow delivery partners.

‍Dark mode: Dark Mode changes the color contrast in the Amazon Flex app in low-light environments. This helps reduce eye strain and makes it easier to see the screen.

Offline maps: When delivering in areas with inconsistent or no cell service, offline maps are essential for your safety and delivery efficiency. When you check in for your block, the Amazon Flex app automatically downloads offline maps for your delivery station's area. This automatic download requires a WiFi connection unless you have enabled cellular data usage in settings. If you want to manually download a map, open Settings > Offline maps, then select and download your desired region.

‍Emergency assistance: If you experience an emergency, or are in immediate danger, always call 000. If you feel unsafe during a delivery or have a safety concern, you can also report it through the “Emergency Help” button in the Amazon Flex app 24/7. You are never expected to make a delivery if you feel unsafe, and your eligibility to deliver will not be impacted due to a documented safety concern or incident. Once you have reported the concern, you will be asked to return any undelivered packages to the station if it is safe to do so.

Thank you for delivering with Amazon Flex.
